This is the first time, 16 teams are attend in T20 World Cup instead of 12 teams. 10 Countries are fight in Final round. ICC Ranked top 8 countries are confirmed Bangladesh and Zimbabwe have to play in first round. Other 6 countries also will play in First Round, but they are not selected. The next month 16 Countries will play in UAE for selection round and 6 Countries will select.

The First round of 8 countries will play in 16 March’2014 to 21 March’2014. The Final round will play in 21 March’2014 to 6 April’2014. The Final Match will play in 6 April’2014 at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Stadium.

VENETIAN MACAU OPEN:: Brilliant ELS Trails Leader Siddikur by one shot

Congratulation to Bangladeshi Golfer Siddikur. Our name also has been focused in the World through him. He is showing a good job.

South African Ernie Els charged into contention with a brilliant six-under-par 65 to trail halfway leader Siddikur of Bangladesh by one shot at the US$800,000 Venetian Macau Open on Friday 18.10.2013.

The four-time Major champion, who is also an Asian Tour honorary member and international ambassador, sank nine birdies against three bogeys at the Macau Golf and Country Club for a two-day total of six-under-par 136.

Siddikur was equally impressive in his round of 66 which included three birdies over his closing four holes as he edged ahead of the chasing pack in his search of a second Asian Tour victory.

Siddikur, the first Bangladeshi to win on the Asian Tour, produced a strong finish to snatch the second round lead in the Venetian Macau Open as he eyed a dream showdown with his idol, Els.

“It was a great round. I felt good. My ball striking was perfect, especially my putting as it all went in,” said Siddikur, who took only 25 putts and is currently 10th on the Asian Tour’s Order of Merit.

Jointly organised by Macau Sport Development Board of Macau SAR Government (MSDB) and Golf Association of Macau, the tournament is sanctioned by the latter and the Asian Tour, and promoted by IMG. Following a successful foray into the world of golf last year, The Venetian^® Macao-Resort-Hotel has returned as title sponsor of the event.

For breaching ICC Code of Conduct:: Tamim Iqbal fined.

Tamim Iqbal, the left handed batsman was found to have breached Article 2.2.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.

He was fined 50 percent of his match fees for a level 2 breach of the ICC Code of Conduct during the second day’s play in the second Test in Mirpur on 22.10.2013 Tuesday.

The incident happened at the end of the 24^th over in New Zealand’s first innings when Tamim Iqbal, while moving to his new fielding position at mid-on, gave a shoulder nudge to Brendan McCullum. The charge had been laid by the on-field umpires Richard Illingworth and Bruce Oxenford.

Tamim Iqbal accepted the charge without any protest. He admitted that he was guilty of the offence.

ফাইনালের রূপ পাওয়া শেষ ম্যাচে ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজ অনূর্ধ্ব-১৯ দলকে হারিয়ে ওয়ানডে সিরিজ জিতে নিয়েছে বাংলাদেশের তরুণরা।

সোমবার সপ্তম ওয়ানডেতে কম রানের লক্ষ্য দিয়েও বোলারদের নৈপুণ্যে বাংলাদেশ অনূর্ধ্ব-১৯ দল জেতে ৬৭ রানে। সাত ম্যাতের ওয়ানডে সিরিজ বাংলাদেশ জিতলো ৪-৩ ব্যবধানে।

সিরিজের প্রথমটি হারলেও পরের তিনটি জিতে ৩-১ এগিয়ে গিয়েছিল বাংলাদেশ। কিন্তু এরপর টানা এই দুই হারে সিরিজে  ৩-৩ -এ সমতা আসে।

সোমবার গায়ানার জর্জটাউনের এভারেস্ট ক্রিকেট ক্লাব মাঠে ফাইনালের রূপ পাওয়া ম্যাচটিতে টসে জিতে ব্যাট করতে নামে বাংলাদেশ।

উদ্বোধনী ব্যাটসম্যান সাদমান ইসলাম করেন সর্বোচ্চ ৪৮ রান। তাকে ভালোই সঙ্গ দেন জয়রাজ শেখ (২৬) ও উইকেটরক্ষক জসিমউদ্দিন (৩৩)।
