Premier Division League Player Transfer: Shakib Al Hasan now is Kalabagan’s

The newly inducted players transfer system, Kalabagan Krira Chakra ignited, termed as’player by choice’ by recruiting the country’s biggest cricket star Shakib Al Hasan, an A+ category player which stunned all given their position in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League. 

The players transfer was held at the Dhaka Cities local hotel on Sunday25.08.2013 where 189 cricketers from six categories were called by the 12 participating clubs. Abahani Limited, the traditional powerhouse, through had the chance to call Shakib, they passed it which gave Kalabagan an opportunity to grab Shakib.

With the four elite players, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal and Nasir Hossain were up for grab at the first. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club grabbed their first choice player Mushfiqul Rahim who is their captain in the last league. Then it was call for Victoria Sporting Club and the reigning champions roped in Nasir Hossain. Brothers Union then came up to recruit Tamim Iqbal. 

Kalabagan recruited Naeem Islam, Mithun Ali, Shahadat Hossain Rajib, Syed Rasel. Abahani roped in Shahriar Nafees, Nazimuddin, Alauddin Babu, Iftekhar Naeem the brother of Shahriar Nafees. 

On the other hand, Mohammad Sporting Club called Mashrafee Bin Mortoza, Shamsur Rahman Shuvo, Dhiman Ghosh, Rajin Saleh, Saqlain Sajib. Victoria also formed a team by recruiting Anamul Haque Bijoy, Soumya Sarkar, Robiul Islam Shiblu, Sajedul Islam and other promising players.

Sheikh Jamal recruit Jahurul Islam Omee, Elias Sunny, Abdur Razzak, Tusher Imran, Shafiul Islam. Prime Doleshwar also recruited Mominul Haque Sourav, Shohag Gazi. Gazi Tank Cricketers’ roped in players were Ryad, Rubel Hossain, Imrul Kayes. Brothers Union had taken Nafis Iqbal, Sanjamul Islam, Suhrawardi Shuvo, Alok Kapali.

Bangladesh Football Team leaves for Nepal today.

Lodewijk de Kruif, the head coach is yet to announce his final 20 member squad as the Bangladesh National Football team will leave Dhaka today with 21 players ahead of the 10^th SAFF Football Championship in Nepal.

The Dutchman picked midfielder Monayem Khan Raju, due to Mamunul’s right knee injury. Raju, who was originally drafted in as a replacement for ailing deferder Kesto Kumar, might not feature as SAFF Secretary Alberto Colaco said a player will not be eligible to take part if he is not in the preliminary list.

Bangladesh will face the host on August 31 and then face India on September 3 before tacking Pakistan two days later.

Maria Sharapova out of US Open due to shoulder injury.

 

Russian glamor girl Maria Sharapova, the world number three tennis star, has pulled out of the US Open because of her right shoulder injury. Tournament organizers announced Wednesday 21.8.2013.

On the eve of the draw for the year’s final Grand Slam event that begins Monday on the Flushing Meadows hard courts. US Open tournament director David Brewer announced about the withdrawal.

He said, ‘Maria has informed us that she will be unable to compete at the US Open this year due to a right shoulder bursitis and has withdrawn from the tournament. We wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to her return to New York next year.’

 

Tamim goes ahead to Shakib.

Tamim Iqbal goes ahead to Shakib Al Hasan in new ICC player ranking of T20 batsman rating. Tamim carried 23^rd position while Shakib’s position is 26^th. The 1^st position of same track is goes to B.B.McCullum. The 2^nd position is A.D.Hales and 3^rd position is carried on S.R.Walton.

In new T20 bowling rating Shakib gets 5^th position and Abdur Razzak gets 6^th position. The 1^st position gets in same track S.P.Narine. 2^nd position goes to Saeed Ajmol and 3^rd position goes to B.A.W. Mendis.

Shakib Al Hasan carried the 3^rd position in new T20 all rounder player ranking. In the same track 1^st position goes to S.R.Watson and 2^nd position goes to Mohammad Hafeez.  

Washim Akram married to his Australian girlfriend

Famous Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram announced on Wednesday 21.08.2013 that he had married to his Australian girlfriend, Shaniera Thompson. He has started now a new life.

Wasim told to AFP, “ I married Shaniera in Lahore last week in a simple ceremony and this is the start of a new life of me, my wife and for my kids.”

After his 47 years old’s first wife Huma died due to multiple organ failure in 2009, washim proposed to 30 years old Shaniera last month. Shaniera Thompson, a former public relations consultant, on bended knee.

Wasim Akram said,” She has embraced Islam and is learning our language. She has been close to my sons and they form a very good bond.”
